| SOLD ON 'THE CELL' - 3rd July 2008 |
|
|
Dear David,
Once again, many thanks for providing me with quality bait and great service. As you know, I’ve been using Mainline’s ‘The Cell’ boilies this year, and I’m having good results on it. I’ve caught more fish to date this year, than I did in the whole of last year! My catches have included a couple of nice thirties plus commons of 29 and 27lbs respectively so far. Most of my captures have been on the chod rig. Keep up the good work!
Yours sincerely,
Jim Slimmon

| PINNEAPPLE IN GRAN CANARIA - 27th June 2008 |
|
|
Hi David
I have a really nice picture for you, not the biggest fish at 26lbs 12oz but really good shot. The fish was landed using the Bait and Feed Companies fluro yellow pinneapple pop ups in conjunction with HBS 18mm red indian frezzer bait, over a bed of chops and halibut pellets. |

| GOOD OLD RED EYES - 26th June 2008 |
|
|
Dear David and Bait and Feed Company.
I recently went on a fishing trip for carp etc on the Marsworth reservoir complex in Herts. I was fishing with 15mm Solar Club Mix fluro pop ups and after about 30 minuits, the baitrunner had screamed off. On striking I connected with a 19lb common carp with not much fight left in it.
Soon after my baitrunner had more action, this time there was more fight in this fish and was delighted to have landed an 8lb tench, good old red eyes.
Anyway I will let the picture tell the story thanks David and Bait and Feed Company - keep up the good work.
Yours sincerely

| SMOKEY MACKEREL LANDS FRENCH 50's - 16th June 2008 |
|
|
Hi Guys,
I am one of the "Irish" group bound for Les Quis - we collected 90kg of Smokey Mackerel 42 (for 3 anglers) from Dave at a petrol station, en route for Dover.
I was lucky enough to land two 50s last week at Les Quis - 51lb 8oz and 53lb 12oz mirrors - both on 20mm Smokey Mackerel 42 boilies. I fished 2 swims on the Long Lake, landing a 50 from each! Both fish were caught in the margins, by casting tight against a treeline and feeding loose/chopped boilies by hand. I caught 4 back up fish to 37lb. My friends, John & Robert, enjoyed rather more action in more prolific swims but were unlucky not to land any real lumps. John landed 9 carp (best ~43lb) while Robert banked 23 carp (best 37lb), all on Smokey Mackerel 42. Clearly carp love this bait and I shall be trying these boilies closer to home on some Welsh carp (I live in North Wales).
Thanks for a great service.
Best wishes,
Dave Rutledge

| GRAN CANARIA POPS UP A 30 - 2nd June 2008 |
|
|
Hi Dave,
Here is ‘Trevor Pywell’ with a 30lb mirror he caught whilst fishing with the Canary Carp Crew at Lake Chira in Gran Canaria.
This fish was caught on a Fusion dumbell with a yellow fluro Bait and Feed pop-up fished over a spod mix of hemp, shredded maize and fish feed oil 80 mtrs out of the point of the mountain.
My dad got me some pots of your pop ups last time he was home. They’re the dogs gonads….

Like more and more carp, Smokey Mackerel 42 was the downfall of this cracking 31lb 4oz mirror caught by our very own Mitchel Bennett on one of the many anonymous Southern still waters.
Well done Mitch. |
